A long time ago some pre-humans might have been running from a fire along with other animals, at those times where there were no firefighters to stop it. After the nature decided that it was time for the destruction to end the survivors may discover something gross … and potentially delicious: burned meat.
It is commonly accepted that the first taste to cooked food could have been by chance; like I have presented above these lines, but we know that humans, and by extension its predecessors, were and are very curious so something like that great finding would not have gone unnoticed.
The truth is that just after getting the ability to control fire, archaic humans started to cook their food, not only due to the taste and easier digestion, but also because of the energy it gives to the one who ate it. Experts say that there is a clear relation between the increase in brain size and the improved feeding through the homo genus and this change happened when the ability to get more energy helped them to think and try even harder in getting more food to continue growing.

Experiments on apes have shown how this animals when given the chance to eat raw meat or wait a bit longer for cooked food is given to them, they wait for the second option. This is very important, because it shows that they understand how waiting is better in the long run for them.
As a result, somehow before cooking old humans started to be very clever and curious what let them discover the ability to use fire in their everyday life which made them get bigger brains and continue in the path of cunning and technology.
